In a pattern reflected in many countries of the world, EV buyers in the UK have so far tended to be relatively wealthy and have access to off-street charging. But in the push to roll out EVs further, and thereby decarbonize transport, more is needed.

UK Chancellor Jeremy Hunt has today (March 6) unveiled his Spring Budget to the nation, and representatives from the electric vehicle and EV charging sectors are largely unimpressed with the lack of support to incentivise flatlining sales of EVs, and the failure to equalise the VAT rate on home and public charging.
