Costco Wholesale and charging network Electrify America are now offering EV charging at five Costco Wholesale locations in the US.

The Trafford Centre in Manchester, north-west England is set to expand its number of EV chargers to become one of Europe's largest charging hubs.

EV manufacturer Rivian has announced the planned launch of its first next-generation Rivian Adventure Network charging locations, which allow for non-Rivian EVs to charge alongside the company’s R1T pickup and R1S SUV.

Only 56% of homes in the UK can support electric EV points, according to research from Lloyds Bank. This is due to lack of on-street parking and is a major barrier to EV uptake, the research found. The provision of on-street charge points in residential areas for the 44% unable to home charge is one solution to this problem, but it does not come without issues of its own.

Integrated energy management solutions provider Landis+Gyr has partnered with UK-based EV charge point operator Believ to deliver accessible EV charging solutions that support almost four million Blue Badge holders or disabled drivers who may find inaccessible charging bays a barrier to EV adoption.

The UK government will provide “certainty for consumers and opportunities for industry” in EV charging infrastructure “where the rollout depends on a stable investment environment”.

Global asset finance company DLL and EV fast-charging solutions provider Kempower are partnering to provide financing solutions designed to accelerate the deployment and accessibility of EV chargers in the United Kingdom, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Italy, Australia and New Zealand, with more markets expected to follow soon.

The role of the Scottish government in decarbonizing transportation is “necessarily changing” – and so is that of the private sector.

In a pattern reflected in many countries of the world, EV buyers in the UK have so far tended to be relatively wealthy and have access to off-street charging. But in the push to roll out EVs further, and thereby decarbonize transport, more is needed.

North American EV charging digital infrastructure company Emobi has started a strategic partnership with Monta, a provider of EV charging software solutions for EV business actors and drivers.
