The collaboration will integrate AmpUp's nationwide US charging network with Curo’s platform, enabling EV charger owners to lease their charging spots to fleets during off-peak hours. AmpUp will provide ongoing software and hardware support to participating charging hosts, fostering a flexible, cost-effective, and highly efficient charging ecosystem.

The partners say their link-up will addresses critical challenges that impede fleet electrification: the high cost of building dedicated charging infrastructure, the need for numerous fleets to distribute their operations, and the underutilization of existing charging stations. By leveraging the Curo platform, site hosts can generate revenue from their idle charging capacity while fleets gain cost-effective access to reliable charging — eliminating the need for expensive infrastructure.

"The complexities of EV charging infrastructure have long been a barrier to widespread fleet electrification," said Tom Sun, co-founder and CEO of AmpUp. "Our collaboration with Curo significantly reduces upfront investment, maximizes infrastructure efficiency, and provides our site hosts with new revenue streams while giving fleet operators dedicated access to reliable charging."

The partners add that integrating EV charging networks with shared fleet operators is a win-win-win solution. This partnership maximizes value for site hosts, fleet operators, and fleet drivers, creating a sustainable and efficient ecosystem for electric vehicle adoption.

By offering EV charging infrastructure, site hosts unlock new revenue streams through stall rentals while boosting utilization during nighttime hours or on a 24/7 basis. Rising demand for charging services turns underutilized spaces into profitable assets without disrupting a site's daily operations.

Fleet operators benefit from reduced costs by distributing charging needs across an existing network rather than shouldering the expense of installing private charging stations. Additionally, fleets avoid the complexities of negotiating charger installations on leased properties while streamlining operations and accelerating EV integration.

Fleet drivers enjoy the advantages of EVs, including lower emissions, quieter rides, and faster acceleration. Dedicated overnight charging eliminates range anxiety and ensures their vehicles are optimally positioned between home and work, so they’re always ready to go.

"We chose AmpUp for their proven track record of delivering industry-leading reliability and comprehensive end-to-end support," said Kieran White, co-founder and CEO of Curo. "Our goal is to enable a scalable leasing charging network for distributed fleets. This partnership is a crucial step towards making that vision seamless and scalable."
