By combining EV Connect's integrated charging management platform, Flash's extensive North American digital infrastructure, and Qmerit's installation, integration, and maintenance services, the collaboration aims to provide drivers with a seamless, bookable parking and charging experience while simplifying management for asset owners and operators. This addresses issues like management, reliability, discoverability, and usability that have hindered transition to EVs.

Drivers on Flash's network can now access chargers on the EV Connect network and vice versa, streamlining parking and charging management through a single platform and payment system supported by Qmerit's options.

The rapid adoption of EVs in the UK poses a significant challenge: the nationwide EV charging network must expand faster than demand to avoid becoming a bottleneck for electrification. According to the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, the existing charger network must increase twenty-fold to meet this demand.

The partnership aims to make the EV experience more convenient, accessible, predictable, and reliable by providing high-quality, well-managed, and thoroughly maintained equipment to grow the charging network.

Over the next 12 months, the partners say there will be new agreements with major operators in hospitality, events, and mixed-use sectors, expanding reservable infrastructure to meet rising demand for parking and charging solutions. Thousands of new ports will be installed this year.
