Now, the Netherlands-based company has released EVBox Livo 2, which can solar charge in two ways: via a third-party home energy management system or through EVBox's dynamic load balancing kit and the EVBox Everon app.
According to the company, EVBox Livo 2 is a great fit for homeowners that are looking to optimise their energy consumption with just solar panels and an EV. By combining EVBox Livo 2 with the Dynamic Load Balancing kit, EV drivers can take control over their solar charging.
When using EVBox’s Everon charging management software app, with EVBox Livo 2, homeowners can choose from three different charging modes including full power which charges at the maximum power using both solar and grid power. In hybrid mode, charging is done using solar power, supplemented by grid power on when needed, which full solar mode charges with solar power only.
Pairing with a third-party energy management system to solar charge is best for homeowners that also want to optimise other large energy loads in their home, such as heat pumps, air conditioning, or a stationary battery. Both EVBox Livo and EVBox Livo 2 can integrate with an energy management system which supports EEBUS.
