The project, led by EDF Group and Dreev, aims to deploy 800 V2G stations to reduce CO2 emissions by using electric vehicles to store low-carbon electricity.
Nuvve will install 100 of these charging stations in Denmark, France, and Spain, utilising both CHAdeMO and CCS standards. This effort represents a US$400,000 capital expenditure for the company, adding another megawatt under management. Nuvve, a leader in V2G technology, has been providing V2G services for over eight years, including Frequency Containment Reserve (FCR) services in Denmark.
The EVVE project, supported by the EU Innovation Fund, involves key partners such as Altra, BNP Paribas Mobility, Enedis, Izivia, Stellantis, and Volkswagen Group France. Together, they aim to create 800 bidirectional charging points for various applications. So far, 250 V2G chargers have been deployed, primarily in France and Denmark, marking significant progress toward a more sustainable energy system.
