Analysis from DataM Intelligence found that the market grew at a steady rate in 2023 and, with the rising adoption of strategies by key players, is expected to rise over the projected horizon.

Ultra-fast EV charging dispensers are advanced charging stations that significantly reduce the time needed to recharge EVs. These dispensers deliver high power levels, often exceeding 150 kW, allowing EVs to gain a substantial charge in minutes. They are essential for supporting long-distance travel and increasing EV adoption by addressing range anxiety and enhancing convenience for users.

Major global industry developments include GLIDA, a leading public EV charge point operator in India (formerly Fortum Charge & Drive India), which in July 2024 unveiled its largest EV charging hub in Hyderabad, featuring 102 charging points. This milestone strengthens India's EV charging network and accelerates the adoption of electric mobility. The hub is equipped with a range of chargers, including a 200KW ultrafast charger with six satellite dispensers, 28 60KW CCS2 dual-gun DC chargers, 8 30KW CCS2 dual-gun DC chargers, 20 Type-2 7.4KW AC chargers, and 2 DC001 dual-gun chargers, allowing up to 102 vehicles to charge simultaneously.
