The installation of the chargers is expected to begin in the spring of 2024 to help EV drivers get to where they need to go with confidence and ease. Before hitting the roads, Canadians can easily map out their route by consulting Natural Resources Canada's (NRCan) electric charger and alternative fuelling stations locator.

Federal funding for this project was provided through Natural Resources Canada’s Zero Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program. This investment supports commitments included in Canada’s new Electric Vehicle Availability Standard, which increases the supply of clean, zero-emission vehicles across the country.

The standard is designed to ensure that Canada can achieve a national target of 100% of new vehicles being zero-emissions by 2035.
