NaaS was awarded the contract in December 2023 following a competitive bidding process. The Platform integrates NaaS's proprietary NEF system to address critical charging infrastructure needs, including optimising layout, enhancing service uniformity, and enforcing operational standards across the province.
"The operational launch of this platform marks a significant milestone in our strategic initiatives," said Ms Yang Wang, CEO of NaaS. "Powered by our digital and AI capabilities, this platform enhances the efficiency of charging infrastructure and sets a benchmark for regulatory governance in the industry nationwide."
The successful rollout in Zhejiang also leverages NaaS's proprietary NEF system to unlock new monetisation opportunities. Additionally, the company continues to improve operational efficiency, with marketing expenses accounting for 57% of revenue in Q2 2024, down from 177% in Q2 2023.
"This initiative not only enhances our footprint in the region but also serves as a model for potential expansion into other markets," said Steven Sim, CFO of NaaS. "As we invest in technology research and development, we expect to achieve lower customer acquisition costs, higher user engagement, and business efficiency gains."
