The New South Wales Government has been a big supporter of EV adoption including a range of incentives and policies to drive uptake and reduce barriers for electric vehicle purchases. Plans for over 650 EV chargers to be built over the next three years across government agency locations are a key step in achieving the target of electrifying its passenger vehicle fleet by 2030.

This agreement with Chargefox marks a significant step forward in the role EVs will play in reducing CO2 emissions from the government’s fleet of over 12,000 passenger vehicles, the largest public sector fleet in the country.

As the leading software platform for charger and electric vehicle management, Chargefox will provide the NSW Government with EV charging management for AC and DC chargers as well as onboarding, commissioning, and maintenance services.

“Chargefox is an Australian owned and operated company leading the way in EV fleet and charger management,” said Nick Franco, head of business development at Chargefox. “Working with NSW Government, also a leader in supporting the adoption of EVs, to help electrify its own fleet is a perfect partnership.”
