The two companies have signed a sales and service partnership agreement, enabling Ecoline Group to procure, distribute, and install Kempower’s premium fast-charging solutions to customers including charge point operators, public transport operators, port authorities, and municipalities.

The partnership seeks to drive charging infrastructure forward in Turkey, a fast-growing region that has been focusing on electrification and e-mobility with a year-over-year EV sales growth rate at 94%, as of September 2024.

Turkey has a growing network, with around 12,000 installed charging stations with over 14,000 combined AC/DC sockets available as of March 2024. With the large country-wide focus in sustainability and clean energy in line with government policies and incentives, it is expected that EV sales will continue to grow by a factor of 42 by 2030, meaning a massive boost in charging infrastructure investments.

One of the initial projects in this cooperation is to establish a strategic long-term partnership with a large charge point operator, starting with a total power of 7.5MW using Kempower’s charging solutions in Turkey.

The modular design of Kempower’s premium DC fast-charging solutions allows charge point operators to start small and expand their systems by adding more charging equipment as demand grows, meaning a lower initial investment doesn’t inhibit future business development. It’s expected that this flexibility and opportunity for scalable returns on investment will be a significant factor in empowering prospective charge point operators to buy into the rollout of EV charging infrastructure.

As the demand for EVs continues to grow, Kempower and Ecoline’s collaboration marks a crucial step towards establishing the necessary infrastructure to support Turkey’s shift towards more sustainable mobility.
