This development supports local residents, businesses, and visitors with reliable EV infrastructure. The site offers eight 300kW DC chargers that can add up to 100 miles in 15-20 minutes, alongside two AC chargers for longer stays. Osprey’s chargers are compatible with all EVs and easy to use, accepting contactless payments, Apple/Google Pay, the Osprey App, and RFID cards.

Osprey’s in-house software, Osprey Iris, ensures reliability and innovation, contributing to the network’s recognition as a ‘Driver Recommended Network’ for four consecutive years by Zap-Map. The company was also named ‘Best EV Charging Network’ at the Transport and Energy Awards.

The new Cardiff site is part of Osprey's UK-wide expansion, with over 1,000 chargers live and a 99% reliability rate. The network grew by 150% in 2023, and the installation at Capital Shopping Park helps promote local decarbonization efforts and supports the upcoming 2035 ban on petrol and diesel vehicles.

Funded and maintained by Osprey, the chargers at the Cardiff site run on renewable energy, and the site's landlord benefits from a future-proofed car park that attracts more EV drivers.
