The site in the town of Blenheim features six EV car parking spaces available to charge (CCS and CHAdeMO types) from 3 x 150kW chargers.

EV drivers can use the MLL chargers via the ChargeNet app or their ChargeNet RFID fob or card.

In October 2024, the New Zealand government announced funding for over 100 new EV chargers in the country with over 200 charging ports.

Minister of Energy and Resources Megan Woods said the focus for the new infrastructure will be on major highways, throughfares and places New Zealanders regularly visit, such as shopping sites.
