Cycling-tech start-up Swytch Technology says its new electric bike conversion kit can reduce the price of eBikes to under US$500, enabling anyone to travel electric for as little as US$0.002 per mile.

Volvo to supply 20 heavy-duty electric trucks to Amazon 

Volvo Trucks says it will be delivering fully electric heavy-duty trucks to Amazon in Germany by year-end. The 20 Volvo FH Electric vehicles are expected to drive more than one million road kilometres annually, fuelled with electricity instead of diesel. 
Volvo’s FH Electric heavy-duty truck can cover up to 500km during a normal workday if a top-up charge is added, for example during the lunch break

Starbucks rolls out EV chargers in the US

Volvo Cars has announced the first Starbucks stores where new electric vehicle (EV) chargers, powered by ChargePoint, will be available to customers and members of the public.

Kit Carson wins EV projects across Northern New Mexico

The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) has selected Kit Carson Electric Cooperative's proposed EV projects to receive US$800,000 in grant funds appropriated to the NMDOT by the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, Section 9901 State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds.

EnviroSpark and Starwood Capital sign US EV charging deal

Atlanta-based electric vehicle (EV) charging company EnviroSpark has partnered with private investment firm Starwood Capital Group in a multi-million-dollar deal. 

This partnership will bring over 400 charging stations to more than 80 multi-family home properties owned by Starwood Capital across the US.

Chargers will be delivered and installed in the next six-to-12 months, expanding EV access to over 55,000 consumers across 12 states. EnviroSpark says it is the largest deal of its kind for a single owner of multi-family properties.
